Description:
We will experience the Tantrik science of Prāṇāyāma on a whole new level! I am thrilled to introduce the “Prāṇa Chakra” - an incredibly revealing illustration just acquired from Srinagar, Kashmir in February 2020!
This great gift cryptically reveals how to harness the power of the 5 major ‘prāṇa vāyus’ in three stages of prāṇāyāma practice which inform the daily Kuṇḍalinī sādhāna innovated by the Tantras.
What to Expect -
In this two-part visual journey, will decode this illustration with corresponding prāṇāyāma verses from the 11th chapter of the Kālottara Tantra (ca. 6th century), the most formative text on Tantrik (Haṭha) Yoga, and the original source for ‘Kuṇḍalinī.’
With the help of our illustration, students will receive instruction on the prāṇāyāma practice sequence which informed Kuṇḍalinī-based Yoga Sādhana of the Tantrik tradition.
Students will also receive a full translation of the ‘Prāṇa-Chakra’ Map (illustration)
Series Description:
In this series, Christopher introduces students to the oldest teachings on Tantric (Hatha-based) Prānāyāma ever revealed to the Modern West. Our source for this Prānāyāma, which informs the Kundalinī-based practice innovated in the Tantras, is the unpublished 'Beyond Time' (Kālottara) Tantra, the earliest known text which teaches Kundalinī.
