Session Description –

In Session III, the Kālottara introduces us the sound of our own Soul - venerated as the ‘Eternal Honey Bee’. This sound, resembling the drone of an ascending bee – is generated through the innovative three-part prāṇāyāma practice of the Tantriks. It is sound of the seed point or ‘bindu’ atop the AUṂ syllable (ॐ). Arising from the palate, it is also the final sound exercised in the utterance of each chakra seed mantra (hlāṃ, hvīṃ, etc.)

Generated through this prāṇāyāma – along with other techniques - this sound – which carries the unlimited potency (śakti) of coiled up (Kuṇḍalinī), immortal soul can alone pierce through the granthis, or blocks in the central channel which prevent self-realization.

Series Description –

This series is an immersion into the Prānāyāma which informed the Kundalinī-based practice sequence prescribed in the earliest Tantras. This sequence, clearly presented in these sources, was later obscured in the few texts which have come down to us today. Our study focuses on my translation of the unpublished 10th chapter of the Kālottara ('Beyond Time') Tantra, our earliest source for Kuṇḍalinī.
